FunDownloader Link Tools MCP
A local, read-only Model Context Protocol server for Spotify track/playlist, Instagram post/reel, and Twitter/X status URLs. It validates link formats and removes tracking parameters. It does not fetch metadata, check availability, or download media.
Install
Requires Node.js 22.12 or newer. Download version 1.0.0 source, extract it, and run npm install --ignore-scripts inside the mcp folder. Dependencies come from npm: the official MCP SDK and Zod.
Add this to your MCP client configuration, replacing the path with your extracted folder:

Arguments: url (string, maximum 512 characters) and optional platform (spotify, instagram, or twitter; defaults to Spotify). Returns the canonical URL, platform, type, and ID. Invalid input produces a tool error. Processing happens locally with no API key or network requests.
Transport: stdio. No hosted MCP endpoint. Source may be used, copied, modified and distributed as-is without warranty.
